KAT VON D – Metal Crush Eye Shadow (Thunderstruck) Review & Swatch

Price: $25 CAD
Size: 0.10 oz
Shade: Thunderstruck

Following the metallic trend I wanted to do a review on the extremely popular Metal Crush Eye Shadows. I was only able to pick up the thunderstruck shade because they are often sold out but I will review this one for now.

The metallic eye shadows come in a fairly large matte black plastic casing. It is detailed with a clear top so you can see the shade and finished with a silver logo. The closure clicks into place but does open quite easy. Overall, the size of the packaging is quite large which is good and mainly does what it needs to do.

The Metal Crush Eye Shadows are metallic toned so they look more like a shimmer than a glitter. There are no glitter particles in this product, so it is great if your eyes get sensitive to glitter particles. The formula is smooth, buttery, and pigmented – while still being easy to blend into other colours seamlessly. The colours are actually surprising wearable – but if you are scared at first, simply use it as a pop of highlight by adding a bit to the inner corners. The shadows last a good portion of the day, especially when the lids are primed first. Overall, the formula is great and easy to use, they blend and smooth out easily making them easy to control. Also, because they are so buttery, there is little to no fallout which is great since some shades would cause a mess.

Thunderstruck: is a metallic/shimmery pearly champagne tone which helps to avoid a chalky look. (great for inner corners)
